In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Emigrant Mortgage Company, Inc. understands the challenges facing people located in its path. We want to assure our mortgage customers directly affected in areas hit hard by the storm that we will make every effort to minimize your hardships.
- If your home or property has been damaged from the hurricane, and you have not already done so, please contact your homeowners and, if applicable, flood insurance agent immediately to submit an insurance claim. Please keep in mind that your insurance claim check may be payable to both you and Emigrant Mortgage Company, Inc., so notify us as soon as possible to obtain information on how to have it processed.
- If you are also having difficulty making your mortgage payments as a direct result of the damages sustained in the hurricane, please contact us to discuss payment relief options that may be available for your loan.
We have established a designated Disaster Assistance telephone number, (877) 752-1112 for our mortgage customers who have been directly affected by Hurricane Sandy and need to contact us regarding insurance claims or assistance with the mortgage payments.
